某个军人独裁小国的神秘岛上，鲁邦一行正打着该国的“国家宝藏”的主意。表面上看小岛完全无人防守，不料其实另有杀机暗藏。与此同时，有人好像看到两年前被处死的前王储的身影出现在国内，仿佛是来号召推翻暴政…… 这部1996年的剧场版也是鲁邦三世的第六部剧场版，由鲁邦之父——漫画家Monkey Punch（加藤一彦）亲自出马担任导演，因此相较其他导演的鲁邦剧场版，可能会更为接近作者创作的原味Lupin heads to the kingdom of Zufu with plans to steal its legendary treasure, which its late king had hidden in a mysterious drifting island off the coast. However, he discovers the island is guarded by the Nanomachine, a supercomputer security system which he and his comrades are unable to defeat. The key to getting past Nanomachine lies with the Princess of Zufu, the only surviving member of the royal family; Zufu's current leader General Headhunter had staged a coup d'etat and had the king and prince executed. Lupin's gang successfully make away with the princess, but the ruthless General places a million dollar bounty on Lupin. Meanwhile, Inspector Zenigata makes an alliance with Oleander, a deadly police agent Zufu sent to bring back the princess. With bounty hunters, the General himself, and of course Zenigata himself on his tail, can Lupin get his hands on the treasure of Zufu?
