在某地方城市业已衰败的商业街上，孤独落寞的钟表匠秋山守一（国村隼 饰）独自经营店铺。这一天他迎来了美丽的女孩宫原凉（泽尻英龙华 饰）。凉交给秋山一块年代久远且磨损严重的浪琴手表，拜托秋山帮忙修复。当女儿第二次到来时，秋山竟得知手表来自当年的故人。25年前，在东京某钟表店工作的秋山（中村勘九郎 饰）与美丽优雅的女孩国木知花子（木村文乃 饰）相识，两人有过一段短暂美好却戛然中止的恋情。 而今知花子在3•11的海啸中丧生，自称是秋山和知花子女儿的凉，因被人追债躲入秋山家中。这对彼此并不熟悉的父女，因一块手表开始了新的生活……The story is about the emotional and spiritual exchange between an elderly watchmaker and a cheerful and kind young woman who lost her mother in the tsunami of the Great Tohoku Earthquake. The woman asks the watchmaker to repair a wristwatch, which is a precious memento left her by late mother.
