巴黎，有一个自小梦想当个作家的年轻人，在老爸的安排下学了经济，并去财政部找老爸的熟人谋求一个在政府里的职务，可是这个位置要求通晓西班牙语和西班牙的经济形势，于是可怜的扎维尔只得告别老妈，丢下女友，动身出发前往巴塞罗那，并在那里完成他经济学硕士的学业。 剧情于是开始了，下面的事情于是变得有点趣味了：出门在外，当然会遇上新人新朋友，会有什么浪漫的事情发生吗？身处异乡的男男女女，品尝着留学的滋味，或者说体会当留学生的苦辣酸甜，可是除了学习之外，生活中的其他人和事也许更加重要。 这帮在外求学的各国年轻人们由于在巴塞罗那一时找不到更好的房子，不得不大家挤在一套大公寓房里，有法国人，英国人，德国人，意大利人……As part of a job that he is promised, Xavier, an economics student in his twenties, signs on to a European exchange program in order to gain working knowledge of the Spanish language. Promising that they'll remain close, he says farewell to his loving girlfriend, then heads to Barcelona. Following his arrival, Xavier is soon thrust into a cultural melting pot when he moves into an apartment full of international students. An Italian, an English girl, a boy from Denmark, a young girl from Belgium, a German and a girl from Tarragona all join him in a series of adventures that serve as an initiation to life.
